How should I store my herbs and spices?
Zest & Zing Spices should be stored in a cool, dry place in our glass jars, away from any extreme temperatures or light, to avoid fading of colour or diminishing of flavour. We also recommend storing them as close to your cooking environment as possible for ease of use.
How long will my herbs and spices keep for?
Spices do not “spoil” as such but they can lose their flavour and colour over time. Generally unopened spices should last for 2 years. Once opened whole spices have a shelf life of around 1-2 years whilst ground spices will lose their flavour quicker with an average shelf life of 6-9 months for optimum flavour.
Are your herbs and spices gluten free?
Yes, none of our herbs or spices contain any gluten. If my recipe calls for fresh herbs and I’m using dried how much should I substitute? Generally you should use a 1/3 of the amount of dried spice to fresh. For example if a recipe calls for 3tbsp fresh oregano you should use 1tbsp dried oregano, as the flavour will be more concentrated.

Our Z&Z blends are sourced from high quality suppliers from around the world, and only ground shortly before you open your jars, to ensure you have the best tasting and premium quality herbs and spices for your meals.

What is your returns policy?
At Zest & Zing we want to make sure you’re 100% satisfied, we love our products and hope you do too! However if you have any issues with your order, contact us and we’ll try to do our best to sort it for you and arrange a refund or exchange. If you do change your mind after a purchase however, we kindly ask you to contact us no later than 14 days after delivery and we would be happy to exchange or refund provided that the food tamper seal is still intact.
