Tahini Chocolate Recipe
Servings: 4

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp tahini (toasted sesame seed paste)

  • 2 tbsp mild olive oil

  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)

  • 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 pinch sea salt

  • 1–2 tbsp warm water (to adjust consistency)

Preparation:

Place thetahini Paste in a mixing bowl and stir well until smooth and creamy.

Add the olive oil and mix thoroughly to create a silky base.

Sift in the cocoa powder and stir gently to avoid lumps. Mix until fully combined and rich in colour.

Add honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Mix until the texture becomes smooth and glossy.

Gradually add 1–2 tablespoons of warm water to loosen the mixture, depending on whether you want a thick spread or a pourable sauce.

Taste and adjust sweetness or salt if needed.

To Serve:

Spread on toast with honey for a rich breakfast
Use as a topping for brownies, cakes, or cookies
Drizzle over pancakes or desserts
Serve as a dip with fruits or baked goods

Tips:

  • Stir tahini well before use, as natural oils may separate

  • Use mild olive oil to avoid overpowering the chocolate flavour

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days

A smooth, nutty, chocolatey tahini spread that works just like peanut butter—but with a deeper, more complex flavour.
