BBQ Grilled Steak with Chimichurri

A juicy grilled steak topped with vibrant, herby Chimichurri. Simple to prepare yet full of flavour, this is a perfect choice for a summer BBQ or relaxed steak night.

Grilled Steak

Servings: 2

Cooking time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 sirloin steaks, approximately 200g each

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon Zest & Zing Chimichurri

  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • Fresh parsley, to garnish

  • Lemon wedges, to serve

Preparation:

  1. Take the steaks out of the fridge and bring them to room temperature.

  2. Rub with olive oil, salt and black pepper.

  3. Heat a frying pan or BBQ until very hot.

  4. Cook the steaks for 2–3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your preferred doneness.

  5. Add butter during the final minute and spoon over the steaks.

  6. Rest for 5 minutes.

  7. Mix Zest & Zing Chimichurri with a little olive oil.

  8. Slice the steak and drizzle over the Chimichurri.

  9. Serve with lemon wedges, chips or a fresh salad.
